Do I certify as a member or non-member?
Your first option in the certification process is to decide if you would like to obtain certification as a member or as a non-member. ABQAURP's Professional Member Program entitles you to receive discounts on ABQAURP offerings including: application fee, exam fee, Core Body of Knowledge (CBK) course, live conferences, home studies and other online courses. Please note: You are not required to become a Professional Member. You may move forward in the exam process as a non-member.
Do I have enough CE credits to sit for the HCQM exam?
ABQAURP requires certificates for 20 hours of continuing education to meet the exam educational requirement. Continuing education must be pertinent to at least one of the exam categories. (See listing below.) ABQAURP offers the Core Body of Knowledge (CBK) as an online course to fulfill the educational requirement for exam candidates.

Do I have to be approved to sit for the HCQM exam?
Yes. When an exam candidate completes the application process by submitting a notarized exam application, sends supporting documents and proof of educational requirements, the ABQAURP Credentialing Committee will review the application for approval.
When can I sit for the HCQM exam?
We are now accepting applications for the 2014 HCQM exam. The exam window is August 15 – October 15, 2014. Once all exam requirements have been met and candidate is deemed eligible, you may schedule your exam for any available date during the window.
The HCQM Board Certification exam is not given at ABQAURP’s annual conference.
Exam candidates will receive test results in early 2015, after the exam window has closed and been processed by the National Board of Medical Examiners® (NBME®).
To preserve the integrity of the HCQM Board Certification exam, examinees may test once per exam window. Exam candidates that do not achieve a passing grade will have the opportunity to retake the exam the following year. Any candidate retaking the exam will pay an additional HCQM Certification Exam Fee.
