!!!!!The Legal and Regulatory Environment Modules will undergo major modifications as a result of the hearings on the constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).

The content included in these modules is accurate, but does not reflect the state of current mandates that have changed as a result of these hearings.

As these modules are being updated, it is STRONGLY recommended that any one considering this course, wait until we announce the new 2013 CBK course which will include the updated modules.

*** This course cannot be applied to Diplomate recertification requirements.***

Prepare to become a quality leader by completing the Core Body of Knowledge online course; a primer for the Health Care Quality and Management (HCQM) Board Certification Exam. Learn the basics of health care quality, risk management, accreditation, patient safety, and more.

In order to fulfill the education requirement for the certification examination, most examinees take advantage of the Core Body of Knowledge (CBK) Course. While the Board recommends this course as a valuable overview of Health Care Quality and Management (HCQM), it is not required and does not ensure successful completion of the examination.

This course is intended for Physicians of all specialties, Nurses, and Other Health Care Professionals with appropriate CME credit and nursing contact hours offered for each profession. This course has been produced online for your convenience. You can work from the comfort of your own home, at a time you choose. When you have successfully completed your course, you will be able to immediately print your CE certificate.

You are allotted 60 days to complete this online course. You will have the option of saving, exiting, and returning to the course as many times as you wish during the 60-day period, as long as the post-test is completed within 60 days of purchase. Please print the course modules and post-test questions prior to submitting the post-test to retain as a study guide. Once you successfully complete the post-test, you will no longer have access to the course.

Although you have 60 days to complete the online course, if you intend to sit for this year's HCQM Examination, it is imperative you complete the course prior to the annual application deadline. It is recommended you complete the course by August 31 to ensure application processing time.
