Put simply a Proctor is a person appointed to keep watch over candidates at examinations, or an official charged with various duties, especially with the maintenance of good order.
2. Why do I need a Proctor? .::top::.
ABQAURP developed its Proctoring system to protect the reputation of its Health Care Quality and Management Certification (HCQM) exam and guarantee that the credential you earn and present to the world is both earned and meaningful. The requirement of a Proctor-administered exam is to verify the identity of the individual receiving the credential and that all necessary guidelines were followed.
3. Do all courses require a Proctor? .::top::.
No. At this time only the HCQM examination requires Proctoring. Our home study and online courses do not require Proctoring.
4. Who can I select as my Proctor? .::top::.
In order to be approved as a Proctor, the individual must meet one of the criteria listed below. The chosen Proctor will not be approved if he or she is a relative, friend, or plans on sitting for the HCQM Exam themselves.

6. Does my Proctor need to have knowledge of the subject matter? .::top::.
No, the Proctor's role is to supervise the examination itself not the content contained inside. He or she does not need to have any knowledge of the subject matter.
7. What is my Proctor required to have/provide? .::top::.
The Proctor is required to have phone, e-mail and Internet access. Important messages and/or files will be sent via these methods..
