Educational Objectives
Join industry leaders to interpret how best to work together when navigating the health care system for a patient to achieve an optimal result. Confer with interactive panels about the financial, legal, and social responsibility of providers, manufacturers, and insurers when considering new drugs and medical devices. Through the expert panel’s explanation, participants will discover the process by which a health plan makes medical necessity determinations for new products and procedures, as well as evaluate the different social and clinical needs amid generations using the health care system.

Attendees will be able to assess the accountability and obligation of the physician, provider, insurer, and purchaser when a new technology is determined to be defective. To enable reporting of quality metrics, participants can implement systems of accountability in their practice settings. Additionally, attendees will recognize how IT can be used to provide access to records between multiple systems and locations, identify the rationale behind non-payment for ‘never events’, and why certain events may be avoidable. Unite with leading authorities to demonstrate the impact Workers’ Compensation has on clinicians -- whether or not they are treating the injured patient. The panel will discuss the integration with overall medical management, pain management, post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, and legal issues.
